HIV Prevention and Case Management

We provide an integrated array of prevention, street outreach, confidential testing, case management and housing services for persons who are at risk or infected with HIV/AIDS.

Healthy Streets - Training, support and advice for injection drug users through street outreach and harm reduction workshops.Rapid HIV testing and counseling available. Also includes Narcan training. Narcan is a medication kit to reverse the effects of fatal drug overdoses. It's available to the public, families, or anyone who would like to learn how to administer it.  P: 781-592-0243. PRISM - LGBT Health - Free HIV counseling & rapid testing (results in approximately 10 minutes), sexual health education and referrals for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals living in Essex County.  Through outreach in bars, workshops, drop-in hours, and community building events, Prism provides education about issues that impact the health of LGBT people. PRISM also maintains the Prism LGBT Health Network, an alliance of providers, mental health, youth services, violence prevention, trauma support, social/support groups, and specialized medical care for LGBT individuals.  P: 978-927-4506. HIV Medical Case Management - Case Managers provide intensive case management with individuals living with HIV/AIDS to assist with medical adherence, economic self-sufficiency, support, connection with community providers and transitions to independent living.  Case managers work with individuals reintegrating into the community from the correctional system, those living at Serenity Supportive Housing and other individuals living with HIV throughout the North Shore and Merrimack Valley.
